Extremely Bad Minecraft Fan Fiction – Sunset

Steve was tired from a long day of chopping wood and digging a small cave for shelter. It was only this morning that he and Alex woke up and found themselves stranded on a small island. They had no recollection of how they got there, and there were no clues to speak of.

Alex had wandered off with seeds in hand to try and lure and tame some nearby chickens. “We’ll need something to eat,” she had explained.

Steve decided that a warm fire (to cook the chickens) and a simple shelter were the most important tasks ahead. When they had awoken, as if from a hazy dream, the sun was low in the Eastern sky and the promise of a full day had beckoned. Now, hours later, the sun hung even lower in the Western sky. The air had grown slightly cooler, and there was an ominous feeling that they needed to finish their shelter before darkness approached.

Alex returned shortly with two chickens behind her. “Let’s breed these chickens,” she suggested, “Soon we’ll have plenty to eat and perhaps some fine-feathered friends to keep us company while we figure out where we are and what to do.”

Steve agreed. “I’ll build a small pen with this leftover wood and we can put the chickens inside.”

They did. Soon they had some tame chickens. Steve’s belly grumbled, but he knew it would be better to wait, even if it meant sleeping on an empty stomach.

Alex and Steve worked together to finish their small cave shelter and stepped inside. They gazed back at the Western sky as the sun dipped below the horizon. Sunset had arrived, and the end of their first day in this strange new land was coming to an end.
